Fairchild Medical Center in California required a high performance anti-slip finish for the area surrounding its lap pool in Yreka. As well as being highly slip resistant the client also wished to create a bespoke aesthetic that portrayed sand meeting water. To satisfy this demanding specification Alternative Surfaces advised the installation of a Quartz Carpet floor.
A Quartz Carpet floor is a bespoke quartz screed with remarkable slip resistant qualities even when wet. It is also highly durable and visually stunning.
The client also requested coving for this Quartz Carpet which is created by the trowels of our artisan installers. With over 1000 color finishes to choose from there is something to suit every environment and in this instance we custom matched two colors that were consistent with the facilities logo and identity. We also installed a custom logo in the entrance to the pool.
A Quartz Carpet floor is in full compliance with Health and Safety requirements for public-use wet areas.
